After many months of planning, the Transportation Garage/Training Facility is closer to reality. The bids have been approved, the contractors have received the “Notice to Proceed” and as of 2/11/25, the contractors may begin activity.
The project schedule is as follows:
A. Notice to Proceed: February 11, 2025
B. Substantial Completion: January 23, 2026
C. Final Completion: March 24, 2026
The facility, which is being funded by PennDOT, will house STEP Transportation vehicles as well as provide meeting & training facilities for drivers. In addition, there will be a wash station so that vehicles can be washed. The facility will provide security for STEP’s fleet and protect them from the elements.
