Sojourner Truth Ministries provides community-building events, clothing, food, social services, and serves meals six days a week. The AmeriCorps member will build relationships with customers, volunteers and community partners in order to expand the reach of Sojourner Truth’s services. The member will engage with customers by assessing individual needs, setting goals, and providing life skills coaching and resources to help reduce individual’s barriers. The member will also reach out to volunteers, help to assess their skills and provide training as needed. The member will promote the program’s services in the community and assist with community events.
